Coatings

Blown (Oxidized) Soybean Oil

Blown (Oxidized) Oils · CAS 68152-81-8

For alkyd resins, coatings and printing inks. Also a fixative for essential oils in insect repellents and a binder for aggregates and composites.

Used in: Alkyd resins, paints and coatings, printing inks, industrial and metalworking lubricants, binder for aggregates, dust control

Blown (Oxidized) Herring Oil

Blown (Oxidized) Oils · CAS 68389-85-5

Made to your specification, for a wide range of industrial coatings and treatments.

Used in: Caulks, putties, sealants, leather tanning, paints, lacquers, varnishes, alkyds, nitrocellulose, resins, inks, rust-preventative coatings, surfactants, plasticizers

KB (Heat Polymerized) Linseed Oil

Heat Polymerized (Kettle Bodied) Oils · CAS 67746-08-1

Natural drying for enamels, varnishes and light-colored alkyds. Soluble in aliphatic and aromatic solvents.

Used in: Surface coatings, enamels, light-color alkyds, varnishes, stand oils, paints, printing inks

Synaceti 116

Waxes · CAS Proprietary

An alternative to natural spermaceti. A modifier for solvent-based coatings that speeds up surface development in isocyanate, urethane, acrylic and nitrocellulose systems: lower coefficient of friction, better gloss, anti-blocking and faster clarity. Stays malleable in sculptor’s clay.

Used in: Solvent-based coatings and varnishes, sculptor’s clay, cosmetic emollient, drawing compounds, finishing aids, lubricants, leather treatments, glazing

Synaceti 125

Waxes · CAS Proprietary

For solvent-based coatings and varnishes: lowers the coefficient of friction, improves surface gloss, adds anti-blocking and develops clarity faster. Works in isocyanate, urethane, acrylic and nitrocellulose systems.

Used in: Solvent-based coatings and varnishes, candles, smokeless gun powder, wire drawing

Nonionic T9

Nonionic Surfactants · CAS 84501-87-1

Low-foaming. Disperses in water and dissolves in paraffinic oils. Low freezing point, so it stays liquid at room temperature for easy handling.

Used in: Oil-in-water emulsions, industrial cleaning compounds, wetting agent, additive in coatings

PEG 400 Monolaurate

Nonionic Surfactants · CAS 9004-81-3

A light-colored, mild surfactant with good emulsifying and solubilizing properties. Bridges oil and water phases.

Used in: Metalworking fluids, water-soluble and textile lubricants, fiber extrusion, cleaning products, solubilizer for oils and fragrances; leveling agent, viscosity modifier and defoamer in cosmetics, creams, lotions and paints; anti-blocking agent and plasticizer in vinyls
