Cleaners
Hydrogenated Fish Glycerides 117
Stays pasty at room temperature, unlike hydrogenated vegetable oils or tallow, so you can use it to set the softness and plasticity of a compound. Partial unsaturation and a lower melting point make it reactive, with eutectic behavior.
Used in: Textile softeners and sizes, yarn lubricants, wax compounds, grease sticks, polishing compounds, soda base greases, crayons, candles, leather stuffings, wire drawing compounds, paper coatings, plastics
Hydrogenated Fish Glycerides 128
Its fatty acid mix forms a eutectic that melts lower than hydrogenated soya or tallow. Less brittle than other fats, so it adds toughness and strength to what it is compounded into.
Used in: Adhesives, Japan wax replacement, lubricating greases, calcium-soap wire drawing compounds, leather stuffings, plastics, wax compounds, textile sizes, polishing grease sticks, crayons, stearates, paper coatings
Hydrogenated Tallow Glycerides 145M
Saponified, it thickens or gels petroleum oils in greases where you want glycerine in the finished grease.
Used in: Lubricating greases, textile sizes and softeners, wire drawing, wax compounds, buffing and polishing compounds, candles, wire insulation, terne plate, mono- and diglyceride production
Hywax 117SB
Mixed with hot water, it forms stable, creamy, small-particle emulsions that dry to a continuous protective film.
Used in: Rust-protective emulsions you can machine over, corrosion inhibitors, grease thickeners, wire drawing
Hywax 122SB
Deposits a monolayer of flat, graphite-like crystals that gives a continuous rust-protective film on metal, wood or fiber.
Used in: Rust-protective emulsions you can machine over, corrosion inhibitors, grease thickeners, concrete casting, calender lubricant and slicking agent, wire drawing
